Aurora Association of REALTORS® members are making news and earning honors through their dedication to organizations in the industry and the community.
Lynn Myers, Lynn Myers Realty, was named as recipient of the “Aurora Women Sculptor of the Community Award” at a special awards ceremony held in March at the Aurora Municipal Building. The awards program, sponsored by the Aurora History Museum, honors women whose accomplishments have an Aurora focus and have benefited the Aurora community.
Myers was named Aurora Business and Professional Womens’ “Woman of the Year in 1989” and went on to serve as a coordinator for a number of political heavyweights including Sen. Bill Armstrong, and Reps. Dan Schaefer and Tom Tancredo. She also gave time and energy to the Aurora Economic Development Board, the Southeast Business Partnership and the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Her success culminated when she was elected Arapahoe County Commissioner in 2000.
Myers has been a member of the Aurora Association of REALTORS® since 1978. She has served on numerous committees at AAR, was named “REALTOR® of the Year” in 1981 and served as President of the Board in 1989. Myers has also represented AAR as a director of both CAR and NAR.

Aurora Association of REALTORS® members and staff are making news, earning honors, and being elected to offices through their dedication to organizations in the industry.
MDRF awards for Long, Sieber
Association President Cheri Long and AAR Bookkeeper Vonda Sieber both received special awards from the Metro Denver REALTOR® Foundation (MDRF) honoring their commitment to the organization.
Both were recognized by the Foundation for the time and dedication they have given MDRF, a charitable organization that seeks to improve the growing Denver metropolitan community by supporting projects that promote affordable housing, improve neighborhoods, and enhance educational opportunities.
Long is a past trustee of MDRF; Sieber has been the organization’s bookkeeper for several years.
Hill elected
Michigan Hill, United Country - Colorado Canny Brokers, was elected to a one-year term as 2nd Vice Chair of the Aurora Planning and Zoning Commission. Fellow members of the Commission elected him to the post at the group’s first hearing of 2007. Hill has held all offices of the Commission during his time of service.
