2000 Affiliate of the Year:
Mickey Sanders - Land Title.
The Affiliate of the Year Award came as a surprise to its recipient, although her qualifications more than justify such a prestigious award.
Mickey Sanders is the Aurora Affiliate of the Year for 2000. The award is the top honor given to affiliate members.
AAR has enjoyed Sander's dedicated efforts since she became a member in 1992. According to Ann Abraham, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and Rob Knepshield, BK Property Inspections, who presented Sanders with her award at the September Inaugural, Sanders has the power to put those around her into an instant good mood. Her upbeat personality and dedication to helping colleagues, friends and the Association are among key reasons that the Affiliate of the Year award is so fitting.
Sanders has served as co-chair of the Affiliate Committee for the past two years. Under her reign, the Affiliate committee has expanded in numbers and contributions to AAR. This past year the Affiliate committee hosted the St. Patrick's Day Bash, provided the breakfast for the PSF Kickoff, and supported other committees in their endeavors.
In addition, Sanders has served on AAR's Inaugural, Golf, and Community Pride committees and is a $99 contributor to the PSF fund.
Sanders has been in the Aurora title business arena since 1989. She expanded her horizons this past year by becoming a real estate technology trainer. Prior to getting into title work, she was a radio announcer.
