What can this Association do to empower you?

by Mitch Myers

Greetings!

I look forward to serving as your president in the upcoming year. You can rest assured that your staff and the board of directors will be on top of whatever issues or opportunities that come our way.

Our focus this year is on you, the individual member, and your needs. Towards that end, we held a strategic planning meeting last month that included me, the AAR staff, your board of directors, eight Aurora Association members with representing different business models and levels of experience, and Bob Golden, chief executive officer of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®.

At this meeting, we reviewed the results of an online survey of AAR's membership, and brainstormed many wonderful ideas designed to improve the Association's service to you. Based on the information gathered at the strategic planning meeting, I will be assigning several Presidential Advisory Committees to follow up and research the feasibility of implementing some great things.

The Aurora Association of REALTORS® exists for you, the individual member. If we are doing something you like, let us know. More importantly, if there is something you don't like or if you have an idea to improve our service, let us know. We will listen.

Expect the Association to employ a number of new methods to communicate with you. We hope you will take a moment to respond to this communication. The question is, "What can this Association do to empower you?" Take some time to think about that. We'll be in touch.
