The art of volunteering.

As I sit here in another association meeting, I am caught pondering how much time our REALTOR® members give back to the Association.
When I first joined my office, my broker told me to get involved in activities at the Association office.
It was good advice then and even better advice now.
As I visit member office sales meetings, I always present a volunteer sign up form. Becoming involved on even only one committee helps you build relationships that could stay with you the entire length of your real estate career.
And because volunteerism should extend outside one’s profession, volunteering in the community is also important
- and many of AAR’s members are already out in force, helping in churches, hospitals, schools and more. REALTORS® are always there! When the need arises, we will be ready to help.
I am so passionate about volunteerism that I want to introduce a new yearly award to honor REALTOR® members who give of their time outside the Association. So Big Don D wants to
know...who is out there donating time, talent and dedication to their communities?
