Get a jump on relicensing education requirements - take required CREC Course at AAR

You must take the Colorado Real Estate Commission (CREC) Three-Hour Update class every year.

CREC – take it every year
The CREC Three-Hour Update Course requirement has been in effect for more than a year, since January 2003. But understanding its place in your education schedule may still take some getting used to. Just think of it this way: You have to take it every year.

The CREC Class replaces the 8-Hour Mandatory, which you had to take once every three years to correspond with relicensing. Now agents hoping to renew their licenses must take the CREC Three Hour Update Course every year.

Follow these guidelines to ensure that you fulfill CREC requirements by taking the Three-Hour Update Course and additional elective credits. If your license expires…

  • Dec. 31, 2004 – Complete the Three Hour Commission Update Course* in both 2003 and 2004, plus 18 hours of electives taken in 2002, 2003, or 2004.

  • Dec. 31, 2005 – Complete the Three Hour Commission Update Course in each year of 2003, 2004, and 2005, plus 15 hours of electives taken in 2003, 2004, or 2005.

To register, please use the Class Registration form or call AAR at (303) 369-5549 to have a registration form faxed to you.
