AAR members make happier holiday for needy children;
Donations to Aurora Interchurch Toy Drive were many
December memories are fading, another holiday season come and gone.
But hopefully the spirit of the season lingers in the minds of the AAR members who helped the Association with its toy drive for the Aurora Interchurch Task Force. Those who gave - and there were many - helped Interchurch provide toys for children in the community who may otherwise have had to go without.
Holiday tradition
AAR has a long-standing tradition of taking on a charitable project during the holidays. The Association's members keep that tradition alive every year as they donate time, resources, gifts, and money to see the project to success.
Choosing which charitable organization to help is difficult - so many are in need. But helping children at holiday time felt right to the Holiday Luncheon Committee, chaired by Carol Keller, Re/Max 3000, Inc. The Holiday Ho Ho Ho Down was a smashing success, with nearly 200 members in attendance.
Dozens of those members emptied their pockets, filled out checks or brought in toys for the Toy Drive. Still other members sponsored the Holiday Luncheon, offering their resources in support of a fun December event.
AAR offers its most sincere gratitude to those whose generous spirits motivated them to make a contribution or to lend their time to the project and the Luncheon.

The Aurora Interchurch Task Force's Executive Board President Mary Lewis expresses her appreciation at the Association's Annual Holiday Luncheon for donations given by AAR members. Those who attended the event in December, along with other AAR members, gave numerous toys and over $1,000 to support the Interchurch Toy Drive, which provides holiday toys and necessities to Aurora families in need of assistance.
