PSF Ambassadors Sandy Kauffman, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, and Deborah Minde, Pinnacle Mortgage Corp., join forces to help AAR collect contributions to the Political Survival Fund (PSF).

Phone in hand, AAR Director Lisa Mooney, RE/MAX Alliance, asks fellow members for their fair share contribution to PSF at the AAR PSF Phone Drive in July.
AAR’s PSF Ambassadors take AAR a step closer to PSF goal with July phone drive
Every year, REALTOR® Associations across the country pledge to donate to the Political Survival Fund (PSF). It is through these donations that REALTORS® have a voice in government at the local, state and national levels.
The Aurora Association of REALTORS® came closer to meeting its $26,550 PSF goal in July with its first-ever PSF Phone Drive. PSF Ambassadors – all members of the Association who believe in the importance of the Fund – called AAR members asking them to make their fair share contribution.
A hefty sum
Ambassadors working the Phone Drive gathered money and pledges totaling $4,556. Although the total is impressive, AAR is still $7,687 short of its goal. If each member were to contribute only $30, the Association would meet and surpass its goal with ease.
Many members have contributed much more than that, becoming club-level PSF donors. Adam Malachi, Gateway Realty Services, is the Association’s only Crystal R Club contributor, having made a donation of more than $2,500. President-elect and PSF Chairman David DeElena, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, is alone at the Patriot Club level, with a contribution between $500 and $999. Several AAR members are part of the Capitol Club, having given a figure between $250 and $499; and of the $99 Club, with contributions ranging from $99 to $249.
That’s the spirit
Ambassadors working at the Phone Drive got into the spirit of the event and said they enjoyed talking to fellow AAR members one-on-one. A bell was rung at each pledge received; Affiliate members served as runners to go to the contributing member’s location and pick up a check that day. All in all, it was fun event with a great purpose. |
