MLS Rules & Regulations violations lose $25 administration fee;
new correction time period approved
In response to customer feedback, the Metrolist Board of Directors recently approved the removal of the $25 administration fee from all sanction schedules. Effective Jan. 1, Notices of Noncompliance regarding MLS Rules & Regulations violations will no longer include a $25 administration fee.
“We believe removing the $25 administration fee will greatly benefit our customers,” said Leesa Baker, compliance manager for Metrolist.
Additionally, a new time period for correcting violations was also approved to increase the accuracy of Metrolist’s MLS listing content. Also effective Jan. 1, all listing errors must be corrected within seven days following a Notice of Noncompliance. The more timely violation correction period was implemented to help Metrolist uphold the integrity of its listing data, one of its primary pledges and obligations to customers.
“Customers who utilize MLS content in their day-to-day business benefit from having timely and accurate information,” Baker said. “We can effectively educate customers about the MLS Rules & Regulations and provide additional support for brokers.”
