Craigslist.org offers an online marketplace for the general public to solicit the sale or purchase of personal property and even real estate. Craigslist and similar sites can be an effective resource when used with care; however, some MLS listings are being disseminated on Craigslist without written permission from the listing broker.
Posting MLS listings on Craigslist and other online marketplaces without written permission from the listing broker is a violation of Section 12.1 of the MLS Rules & Regulations.
If you would like your listings syndicated on leading national websites, including Trulia, Zillow, Google Base, Yahoo! Real Estate, and HotPads.com, Metrolist offers a free member service through ListHub. This listing syndication service is an easy and effective way to reach a wider Internet audience, and best of all, it’s free.
To sign up for free listing syndication:
1. Go to www.ListHub.net. 2. Click Create Account. 3. Once account is created, select your Channels.
If you have questions about ListHub or MLS Rules & Regulations regarding Craigslist postings, contact Metrolist at (303) 850-9576 or visit www.metrolist.com.
