AAR members, families celebrate together at Affiliate-hosted Appreciation Day
Everywhere there was motion – the wind through the trees at Bicentennial Park, the magician’s hand as he delighted groups of people, the children as they weaved through their parents’ and grandparents’ legs on the way to get their faces painted or grab a balloon. The Aurora Association of REALTORS® Family Appreciation Day was alive with activity that lasted all afternoon June 20, and brought many AAR members and their families together for food, fun and entertainment.
The third-annual event was hosted by AAR’s Affiliate Committee as a way of showing AAR members how much they are appreciated. Special thanks to the many members who contributed their time, talents and resources to planning the event, and to each member who brought their families to enjoy this special afternoon in the park.

Grill specialists Ron Gilley and Bert Hermelink braved the windy day to create perfect burgers and hotdogs at the Family Appreciation Day June 20. Many AAR members took turns at the grill to feed the crowds.

Longtime AAR Member Mitch Myers delighted onlookers with his magic tricks. Myers stayed throughout the event, pulling quarters out of kids’ ears, making ropes braid together and fall apart, and guessing cards people picked, much to the amazement
of his audiences.

Felicia Stanton brought her grandsons to the event, much
to their delight. The boys were among more than 100 people
who attended the third-annual Appreciation Day.
