NAR offers “Right Tools, Right Now”
National Association responds to challenging market by offering free and low-cost services to members
In response to the needs of its members during this current economic market, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is making available more than 300 valuable publications, educational opportunities, services, resources and tools to members for free, at cost or at significantly reduced pricing.
The “Right Tools, Right Now” initiative was created by NAR in February and launched March 2 in response to the challenges REALTORS® are facing. While the Association can’t bring clients to your door or get lenders to move faster, it can help you in other ways by providing free or inexpensive education, free products and new services. It can continue to be an advocate in the legislative arena to protect your business interests.
NAR’s initiative provides free or at-cost valuable products and tools in the following categories: Educational Tools and Publications, Conventions and Events, Technology Services, Research Tools, Enhanced Services and Online Training.
For example, in the Educational Tools and Publications section, you can now get the It’s a Great Time to Buy! brochure for free by ordering the e-product online – getting it in your hands right away at no cost. Likewise, you can order the Save Now with the Homebuyers Tax Credit e-product for free. Both are great tools to provide to clients, and now are available at no cost to you.
In the Research section, you can order the 2008 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers and the 2007 Profile of Buyer’s Home Feature Preferences as e-products for free, allowing you to use the valuable data they provide to your advantage right away. Plus, registration for the Midyear Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo is free in the Convention & Events Section, and NAR will be extending call center hours for NAR’s Information Central, found in Enhanced Services.
To assist you in gaining valuable educational designations, 20 percent rebates are being offered for an ABR elective course or an RSPS Resort Course. You could take the ABR Core Course at AAR on April 20 and 21(see the article below), gain the 20 percent rebate on an elective course and have your designation by mid-2009. In addition, CIPS dues for 2009 will be discounted 50 percent for all United States members and discounts are being offered for the CIPS courses.
In total, for all the offers within the program, you can save thousands of dollars and get valuable information to use in your business today. Resources and tools that are part of the initiative will be identified throughout many communications, including on NAR’s website at www.Realtor.org and at the website of the Aurora Association of REALTORS®, www.AuroraRealtors.org .
